
Dear Asian filmmakers, the São Paulo International Film Festival (Brazil) is accepting feature films until July 31, 2025.
About the festival:
The SÃO PAULO INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL aims to promote cinematographic art as a way of bringing together the most diverse peoples and cultures in the world, valuing quality works and favoring the development of the audiovisual and creative industry.
Sections:
– New Filmmakers Competitions
– Perspective
* International Section
* Brazilian Showcase (Mostra Brasil)
Eligibility:
– Director(s) with one or two films can submit to the New Filmmakers Competitions.
– Film must have been produced after November 1, 2024 for the New Filmmakers Competitions, and after January 1, 2024 for the Perspective – International Section.
– Film must hold a minimum of 70 minutes in length.
– Film must be Brazil Premiere.
– Film must have at least one digital copy (preferably a DCP – link or in a HD format) available throughout the Festival period.
– Films spoken in any language other than English, must be sent to the FESTIVAL subtitled in English, the expenses related to this subtitling being borne by the producer and/or distributor of the film.
– Submission Fee: FREE
– Deadline: July 31, 2025
