Dear Asian filmmakers, the El Gouna Film Festival (Egypt) is accepting films until June 30, 2025.

About the festival:
El Gouna Film Festival was founded in 2017 by Engineer Naguib Sawiris, in collaboration with actress and producer Bushra Rozza, international event organizer and CEO of I-Events Amr Mansi, and film producer Kamal Zadeh. The initiative gained strength and momentum with the support of El Gouna founder Engineer Samih Sawiris, and support of many private sector sponsors. The festival is presented under the auspices of the Egyptian Ministry of Culture.

Eligibility:
– The festival accepts short (under 30 minutes) and feature films (over 65 minutes for fiction and 52 minutes for docs), both fiction and documentary.
– Only films that premiered after November 15, 2024, are eligible for the festival sections.
– Preference will be given to world and international premieres.
– Submissions will be accepted only from films that have not had a public screening in the MENA (Middle East and North Africa) region in a theatre, on television or on any Internet-based VOD platform.
– All films must be in their original language and if this language is other than English, the film must be subtitled in English.
– Once a film has been selected and the invitation to participate at the festival has been accepted, it cannot be withdrawn from the festival program.
– Submissions must be made via Eventival.
– Submission Fee: FREE
