Village Rockstars 2 directed by Rima Das will open the Red Lotus Asian Film Festival which will take place from April 24 – 27, 2025 in Vienna, Austria.

About the Director:
Rima Das, a two-time National Award-winning filmmaker, is celebrated for her indigenous, realistic storytelling—delving into complex relationships, self-discovery, and life in harmony with nature. Village Rockstars (2018) was India’s Official Entry to the Academy Awards and screened at TIFF. Bulbul Can Sing (2019) premiered at Berlinale Generation, earning a Special Mention from the International Jury, while Tora’s Husband (2022) was again selected at the Toronto International Film Festival.
