5th San Diego Filipino Film Festival – Call for Entry 2025

The San Diego Filipino Film Festival (USA) is accepting Filipino films until July 5, 2025.

About the festival:
Held during Filipino American History Month in October, SDFFF is SDFC’s centerpiece event that aims to raise awareness for Filipino cinema as an important art form and a powerful tool for representation, education, and entertainment.

SDFFF will bring San Diego communities together to celebrate diversity, culture, and heritage through cinema with a diverse mix of narrative features, documentaries, and short films.

Eligibility:
– San Diego Filipino Film Festival accepts independent films by Filipino filmmakers and/or films that tackle or discuss Filipino stories, culture, and experiences.
– The festival accepts feature films (both narrative and documentary) over 40 minutes, and short films under 25 minutes.
– There is no year limit on the submitted films.
– The festival doesn’t require premiere status but prioritize San Diego Premieres.
– SDFC/SDFFF pays no screening fees to accepted films/filmmakers.
– Accepted films have all the necessary licensing permission or legal copyright to screen at the festival.
– Films must be submitted via FilmFreeway.
