Dear Asian filmmakers the Impression Taiwan, Taiwan Film Festival Berlin is accepting short films by Taiwanese filmmakers or made in Taiwan until June 20, 2025.

About the festival:
Established in Berlin in 2017, the Taiwan Film Festival Berlin (tffBerlin), consistently aims to strengthen and expand the representation and participation of Taiwanese Film in Germany and Europe.

As one of Europe’s premier Asian film festivals, tffBerlin is dedicated to provide a platform to Taiwanese filmmakers and support an ever growing network between Taiwanese creatives and their audience.

Eligibility:
– The festival accepts short films (under 30 minutes) produced in Taiwan or with a Taiwanese creative as part of the production crew are eligible for selection.
– The festival accepts all kinds of genres (fiction, documentary, experimental, and animation). 
– Works-in-progress will not be considered.
– No premiere status is required for submission.
– If the entry is not in English, it must be accompanied by English subtitles. Subtitles in both Traditional Chinese and English are preferred.
– Submissions must be made via FilmFreeway.
– Submission Fees and Deadlines:
* Until May 31, 2025 – $ 9 USD ($ 6 USD for Students)
* Until June 20, 2025 – $ 17 USD ($ 12 USD for Students)
– Notification Date:  August 22, 2025
