
Dear Asian filmmakers, the SCHLINGEL International Film Festival for Children and Young Audiences (Germany) is accepting short films until June 1, and feature films until July 15, 2025.
About the festival:
SCHLiNGEL is one of the largest platforms for international children’s and youth films in Europe. Every year in autumn, the SCHLiNGEL festival collects an overview of current productions from all over the world. The extraordinary, brand-new and diverse productions are accompanied with podium discussions, talks, workshops and the SCHLiNGEL Industry Forum. There is a particular emphasis on educational sessions on film and media for kindergartens and schools through practical activities.
Eligibility:
– The festival accepts films both short (under 30 minutes) and feature films (over 45 minutes) aimed at a young audience.
– The festival accepts live action and animation films.
– Feature films must be German Premiere. As for the shorts the festival prefers that they are German Premiere.
– Films must have been completed after January 1, 2024.
– Films that are not produced in German or English must be subtitled in one of these two languages.
– Submissions must be made via FilmFreeway.
– Submission Fee: $ 3 USD

* Feature Films – July 15, 2025
– Notification Date: September 10, 2025
