20th Busan International Kids and Youth Film Festival – Call for Entry 2025

The Busan International Kids and Youth Film Festival (Korea) is accepting films until March 10, 2025.

About the festival:
BIKY is the one of the best festivals that has provided a venue for children and teenagers to communicate through various films from all around world. BIKY has one competition called ‘Ready~Action!’ for films directed by children and teenagers. BIKY aims to discover films by young directors and develop new contents in the relevant fields for the future.

Sections:
– Competition
1) Ready~Action: Short films by young directors under age of 18

– Non-competition: Feature and short by professionals
1) BIKY Kids: A program for kids under the age of 10
2) BIKY Youth: A program for youth aged 11 to 14
3) BIKY Youth Plus: A program for youth aged 15 to 18
4) Beyond BIKY: Films that embrace all kids and youth around the world, transcending limitations and boundaries
5) BIKY Classic: A program that screens films by directors who have set new milestones in the world of kids and youth cinema accompanied by special lectures
6) Moonlight Cinema: Outdoor screenings for families to enjoy together under the moonlight

Eligibility:
– Films directed by adults will be screened at the Non-competitive section. This section accepts both features and short films.
– Short Films directed by children and teenagers (age of 6-18) will be screened at the Ready-Action! Competition.
– Short films should not exceed the 20-minute mark.
– Films must have been produced between 2024 – 2025.
– All submissions must be made via FilmFreeway.
– Submission Fees:
* Films made by directors under 18 years old – FREE
* Films made by professionals – $ 10 USD
– Deadline: March 10, 2025
– Notification Date: April 23, 2025
