Dear Asian filmmakers, the Melgaço International Documentary Film Festival (Portugal) is accepting films until May 18, 2025.

About the festival:
MDOC – Melgaço International Documentary Film Festival will select for 2025, documentaries under the themes of identity, memory and border. All films must express the author’s point of view on aspects related to social, individual, cultural and identity issues.

Eligibility:
– The festival accepts documentaries under the themes of identity, memory and border. All films must express the author’s point of view on aspects related to social, individual, cultural and identity issues.
– The festival accepts documentaries both shorts (under 60 minutes) and features (over 60 minutes).
– Films must have been produced after January 1, 2024.
– Films should have English subtitles, except for English-speaking films.
– Submissions must be done via FilmFreeway.
– Submission Fee: $ 8 USD
– Deadline: May 18, 2025
– Notification Date: July 15, 2025
