8th Malaysia International Film Festival – Call for Entry 2025

The Malaysia International Film Festival is accepting feature films until February 2, 2025.

Programme Categories:
* Feature Competition (New Directors): This programme invites directors with three or fewer narrative features from
ny country and in any language.
* Feature Non-Competition: A showcase of new feature narrative films from aspiring filmmakers around the world and locally, welcoming all languages, genres, and countries.

Eligibility:
– The festival only accepts feature films over 60 minutes in length.
– Films must have been completed in 2024 or 2025.
– For the Feature Competition, the festival accepts films from directors with a maximum of three feature films, including the submitted film.
– For the Feature Non-Competition section, the festival accepts narrative feature films from aspiring filmmakers around the world and locally, regardless of language, genre, or country of production.
– All films entries must satisfy Malaysian Premiere.
– Film formats and video systems for theatrical screening that can be presented during the festival are: DCP or, in exceptional cases, video file (.mov or .mp4).
– English subtitles are a must for the films and others are optional.
– Submissions must be done via the festival’s website.
– Submission Fee: FREE
