Platform BUSAN is inviting new and emerging independent filmmakers in Asia to Busan providing an opportunity for global networking. Applications are open until August 19, 2024.

About Platform BUSAN:
As an annual networking event organized by Busan International Film Festival (BIFF) and Asian Contents & Film Market (ACFM), Platform BUSAN hosts various live events such as master classes, seminars and showcases to enlighten artistic philosophies and to exchange field experiences.

Eligibility:
Emerging Asian independent filmmakers who have participated in more than one short film or up to 2 feature films as main staff. An applicant must be able to communicate in English as all programs are conducted in English to promote multinational networking of filmmakers based in Asia. Former participants can join Platform BUSAN up to two times, including any previous participation.

Deadline: August 19, 2024

Dates & Venue: Platform BUSAN will take place from October 5 – 8, 2024 at the Asian Contents & Film Market (ACFM), Exhibition Center 2, BEXCO, Busan.

How to Apply:
– Download Platform BUSAN Application Form and Recommendation Form.
– A Platform BUSAN Badge registration form will be sent separately to those who have been approved.

– Supporting Documents (Optional):
*For a member of a company or institution/organization: a proof of employment letter or registration letter
*A document showing your artistic achievements, such as a portfolio that provides information about your career, filmography, etc.
Note: The application can be denied if the recommendation form is not submitted

Notes:
– Former participants of Platform BUSAN are eligible to apply up to two times, inclusive of any prior participation.
– All Platform BUSAN programs are offered in English only.
– Failure to attend without prior notification may result in a disadvantage for future participation.
– Submissions may close earlier to ensure an optimal experience for participants.
