Okthanksbye directed by Nicole van Kilsdonk will open the Taiwan International Children’s Film Festival which will take place in cinemas from March 29 until April 7, 2024 (in Taipei, Taiwan), and online from April 15 until May 19, 2024.

Shy, deaf Jamie moves to a boarding school for the hearing impaired to start her new school year. She is reluctant to make new friends. When she is suddenly unable to go home on the weekend, an unexpected plan develops with her bold classmate Imane. Together they set off on a road trip to Paris, but soon things do not go as planned and the trip takes an adventurous turn. Jamie is forced to come out of her shell. The trip full of obstacles and special encounters becomes a journey to remember. (TICFF 2024)
