48th Hong Kong International Film Festival – Closing Film 2024

All The Long Nights directed by Shô Miyake will close the Hong Kong International Film Festival, which will take place from March 28 – April 8, 2024 in Hong Kong.

All The Long Nights by Shô Miyake – Japan | 2024 – 119 minutes

Misa (Kamishiraishi Mone) suffers from an extreme case of pre-menstrual syndrome. This leads to complications at work, and she soon finds herself in a new environment, working on astronomy sets at a small company. There, she meets Takatoshi (SixTONES’ Matsumura Hokuto) – a laconic young man prone to panic attacks. In the face of their similar predicaments, a connection blossoms. Adapted from Seo Maiko’s novel, Miyake Sho’s latest is a gentle and luminous slice-of-life, meticulously directed and emphasising the poetics of caring for one another in an otherwise rigid and unfeeling society.
