
Dear Asian filmmakers, the Young Horizon International Film Festival (Poland) is accepting films until May 15, 2024.
About the festival:
The festival is addressed to young viewers. Since the beginnings in 2005, the team of the Young Horizons have worked with the objective of providing the audience with access to quality films of high artistic, thematic, and production value. So, the educational programme gave rise to reviews of films for children, film distribution, and – in 2014 – the festival. The upcoming jubilee edition will be filled with unique premieres, inspiring live-action, animated, and documentary films, interesting meetings with directors and actors, and other special events.
Competition:
– Main Competition – an overview of contemporary cinema for young viewers with full-length films.
– Documentary Competition – a selection of the best contemporary documentaries for young viewers.
– Discoveries Competition – a presentation of arthouse cinema for young viewers with full-length films which explore new narrative forms and innovative film language.
Eligibility:
– The festival accepts short and feature films for children aged 4+ up to teenagers 16+ including animations, live-action, and documentaries from around the world.
– Films must be produced between 2023 – 2024, except for documentaries that can be produced between 2022 – 2024.
– The festival prefers Polish Premieres.
– Once a film has been accepted to the festival it cannot be withdrawn from the programme after June 10, 2024.
– Films must have English subtitles.

We remind readers that the 11th Young Horizon International Film Festival will take place in cinemas from September 28 – October 6, 2024, and online from October 10 – 27, 2024.
