Dear Asian filmmakers, the Tasveer Film Festival (USA) is accepting films until July 26, 2024.

About the festival:
The Tasveer Film Festival (TSAFF) is the leading South Asian film festival in North America, headquartered in the beautiful Pacific Northwest city of Seattle in Washington State. We are also the first and only Academy® qualifying South Asian Film Festival.

Eligibility:
– The festival accepts films on themes related to South Asia and its Diaspora. South Asia includes Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Tibet, and its various Diasporas worldwide.
– The festival accepts short films (under 40 minutes) and feature films (over 40 minutes) both fiction and documentaries.
— All works must be related to South Asia and/or its Diaspora. This includes films made by filmmakers of South Asian origin and non-South Asian filmmakers that focus on a South Asian theme.
– Seattle premiere is required, some discretion allowed in case of non-premieres.
– All works must have been released in 2022 and after.
– To be eligible for a student film submission, either the school name must be in the credits or the filmmaker must be currently enrolled in school.
– In general, the festival do not screen films that are already available online. Some discretion is allowed by the selection committee.
– Films that are not in English must have English subtitles.
– Films are required to have closed caption in their submission
