All Tomorrow’s Parties by Zhang Dalei – China | 2023 – 24 minutes
Xiao Zhou takes care of her mother while working in the state-owned film studio as a receptionist and ticket distributor for the in-house cinema. Full of idealistic expectations, Li Mo returns from a faraway place, having seen the Gobi and the mountains. On a cold night, the cinema becomes the silent witness as the two encounter. (JFW 2023)

Basri and Salma, a husband and wife married for 5 years, own an Odong-Odong at the carnival, spending their days entertaining and taking care of other people’s children without any of their own. Between meddling relatives, self-doubt, and an explosive confrontation, they uncover why they have not been blessed with a child. (JFW 2023)

A struggling Muslim woman received help from a local security. She was then employed to help a Hindu household under the alias ‘Pooja.’ Her workplace was the home of a young married couple.
As time passes, a genuine bond formed between the mistress and Pooja. She cherished her work there, but this strong bond would lead to a significant misunderstanding. (JFW 2023)
