Killing Romance directed by Lee Won-suk will open the Korean Film Festival Frankfurt which will take place from October 25 – 29, 2023 in Frankfurt, Germany.

HWA Yeo-rae (LEE Ha-nee) is a popular actress who, after strong criticism about her last film, flees to the fictional tropical island of Qualla. There she meets real estate agent Jonathan NA (LEE Sun-kyun), who seems far too good to be true. The two marry and move back to Seoul, where Jonathan turns out to be eccentric and status-obsessed. Trapped in the toxic marriage, Yeo-rae, with the help of her neighbor and fan KIM Bum-woo (GONG Myoung), decides to kill her husband. (KFFF 2023)
