Dear Asian filmmakers, the Cinéma du Réel International Documentary Film Festival (France) is accepting documentaries until October 31, 2023.

About the festival:
Cinéma du Réel reflects the diversity of documentary film genres and approaches. Through its various programmes, the festival aims to create a dialogue between contemporary creation and the history of documentary film. They nevertheless insist on the fact that the festival does not aim to present news broadcasts, documentaries of a journalistic nature, promotional or corporate films.

Eligibility:
– The festival accepts both feature and short documentaries.
– Films must have France Premiere to be eligible for Competition.
– Priority will be given to films never screened anywhere in the world (world premieres) and to films never screened outside of their production country/countries (international premieres).
– Films must have been completed after 15 January 2023.
– Films sent for consideration must be in their original version and subtitled either in English or in French (if spoken in another language).
– No waivers will be granted.
– Submission Fee: $ 10 Euros
– Deadlines:
* Films completed between January 15 – July 31, 2023 – September 30, 2023
* Films completed after July 31, 2023 – October 31, 2023
* Films still under completion on 31 October, 2023 – October 31, 2023 (Online submission but they must sent the material finish by November 15, 2023)
– Notification Date: mid-February 2024
