Dear Asian filmmakers, the Tricky Women/Tricky Realities (Austria) is accepting films until October 6, 2023.

About the festival:
TRICKY WOMEN/TRICKY REALITIES focuses on animated films made by women and/or genderqueer artists and therefore fills a unique position within the international festival landscape. Besides the competition the festival shows themed programs and retrospectives to present an exciting overview of the animated cinematic art of female and/or genderqueer artists from around the world and Austrian filmmakers as well.

Eligibility:
– The festival accepts animated short films and VR Projects.
– The festival accepts student films.
– 50% of the film should be animated and 50% of the directresses are female and/or genderqueer artists.
– Films must have been produced after January 1, 2022.
– Resubmissions are not allowed.
– Submissions can be made via FilmFreeway or ShortFilmDepot.
– Submission Fee: FREE
– Deadlines: October 6, 2023
– Notification Date: January 31, 2024
