The NFDC Film Bazaar is accepting feature-length fiction film projects – that deals with a South Asia themes – for their co-production market until August 14, 2023.

About the Film Bazaar:
Film Bazaar is the largest South Asian film market. It encourages creative and financial collaboration between the South Asian and International film communities.

Created and organized by the National Film Development Corporation (NFDC), Film Bazaar has evolved into South Asia’s global film market from its humble beginnings in 2007. Every edition witnesses increased national and international participation. Over the years, films such as Lunch Box, Margarita With A Straw, Chauthi Koot, Qissa, Ship of Theseus, Titli, Court, Anhe Ghode Da Daan, Miss Lovely, Dum Lagake Haisha, Liar’s Dice and Thithi have been through one or more program of the Bazaar.

Eligibility:
– Project can be from any country dealing with a South Asian theme. Else, the filmmaker or at least one of the Co-Producers of the film should be from India / South Asia. In case of an anomaly, please write to coproduction(at)filmbazaarindia.com for clarification.
– Project must be a new feature-length fiction film (min 70 minutes).
– Project must have both director and producer attached.
– Project must have 25% of the total finance in place.
– Projects that have started principal photography are not eligible.

Submission Requirements:
– Logline (40 words)
– Short Synopsis (300 words) for feature-length.
– Story Outline (8 – 10 pages)
– Director’s artistic statement (200 words)
– Producer’s Note (200 words)
– Production Plan (Broad Budget and Financing Breakup, Tentative Timelines)
– Director’s Profile [including Filmography] (150 words)
– Producer’s Profile [including Filmography] (150 words)
– Shortlisted projects will be required to submit a complete script prior to final selection.
– All scripts (including regional language scripts) must be submitted in the English language only

Deadlines and Fees:
– Earlybird Deadline: July 30, 2023 (11:59 pm IST) – INR 10000
– Regular Deadline: August 14, 2023 (11:59 pm IST) – INR 12000

How to Apply:
– The applicant must either be the producer or the director of the project. Applications made by any other persons will be disqualified.
– To apply, you need to create a MyFilmBazaar Account first, in case you do not already have one
– Once you have created your account, you will be directed to the Co-Production Market online application form.
– Applications will be considered complete only after payment of fee.
