
Dear Asian filmmakers, the Göteborg Film Festival (Sweden) is accepting feature films until October 12, 2023.
About the festival:
Göteborg Film Festival is the largest film festival in the Nordic countries. Each year the festival’s program group travels around the world to track down choice films to bring back to Göteborg. These films are then presented during the ten-day festival at the end of January, creating a great banquet serving audiences nearly 450 films from some 80 countries.
Eligibility:
– The festival accepts feature films (over 50 minutes) of all genres and distinctions.
– Film must have its Swedish premiere and have had its first public screening before January 1, 2023.
– Online screenings of the film in Sweden, or available to Swedish audience online, prior to the festival automatically disqualifies the film from selection.
– Films should be subtitled in English if the original dialogue is not entirely in English.
– Applications must be made via the official page of the festival.
– The screening copy of the film must be in DCP format or 35mm.
– Submission Fee: $ 35 Euros
– Deadline: October 12, 2023
– Notification Date: mid-December 2023 or earlier
